Pickers and autocomplete in conditions

Last updated: September 23, 2026

In FlexiFees conditions you choose products, variants and collections with Shopify's own picker, and countries and states from lists, instead of pasting IDs or typing names. Product tags, product types and vendors autocomplete from your catalog. The result: conditions match exactly what you picked, and renaming a collection no longer breaks a fee.

Products and variants

  • In a Products (by ID) condition, click Select products; in Product variants (by ID), click Add variants. Shopify's picker opens.
  • Your choices appear as chips with names and thumbnails, so you can see what the fee covers.
  • Prefer typing? Enter IDs manually still accepts IDs or a pasted admin URL.
  • A condition holds up to 1,000 IDs. For larger groups, use a collection, tag, vendor, product type or product category condition.

Collections

  • Click Select collections and pick from Shopify's picker. Collections are matched by ID, so renaming a collection no longer breaks the fee.
  • Conditions saved before the picker keep working. They are shown as matched by title; pick the collection from the list once to switch it to ID matching.
  • The contains rule still works with typed text, for example every collection whose title contains Beverages.

Countries and states

  • Customer country and Logged-in customer state / province are picked from lists. FlexiFees stores Shopify's own codes and shows the names, which removes the classic typo problem ("Québec" typed where Shopify expects QC).
  • For states, pick a country, then its states or provinces, from as many countries as you need.
  • Some codes are shared between countries (CO is Colorado, but also Cork and Como). Add a Customer country condition to pin the country.
  • The state condition works for logged-in customers with a saved default address. Guests have no state yet in the cart, so state-based fees do not apply to guest carts today. A cart-page ship-to-state selector is planned. Details.

Tags, product types and vendors

When you type a value for a product tag, product type or vendor condition, FlexiFees suggests matching values from your own catalog, so the condition uses the exact spelling. If nothing in your store matches, you see a note to check the spelling; you can still save.

Metafield keys

Metafield conditions, the metafield fee types and formulas offer your store's metafield definitions in a list. See Metafields in FlexiFees.

Yes. Conditions that matched collections by title keep working and are shown as matched by title. Pick the collection from the list to switch to ID matching, which survives renames.

How many products can one condition hold?

Up to 1,000 IDs. For larger groups use a collection, tag, vendor, product type or product category condition.

Can I still paste product IDs?

Yes. Enter IDs manually accepts product or variant IDs and pasted admin URLs.
